Neural Interface
Conventionally, electrical stimulation of neural cells is widely used because it is well-established in terms of high reliability. However, this method requires inevitable insertion of electrode to make direct contact with neural cell through surgery. Moreover, it suffer poor spatial selectivity due to inherent spreading of electric current in the neural tissue. Here we seek to develop novel neural interface using optic, magnetic and ultrasound especially with a combination of nanomaterials.
